Carbon intensity measures the CO₂ emissions per unit of electricity generated (gCO₂/kWh). Lower values indicate cleaner electricity. The generation mix shows the share of each power source in total electricity production for each country.
Data is aggregated at the country level on a monthly basis. Nordic countries are dominated by hydro and wind, resulting in some of the lowest carbon intensities globally.
